The Salute Orale project aims to provide basic dental care coverage for pregnant women, a particularly vulnerable group of patients.

Numerous scientific studies report the importance of proper oral health from the first months of pregnancy. Very common dental diseases, such as cavities, can cause malformations or infections in the fetus as early as the first trimester of pregnancy. To maintain the health of mother and child, it is essential, in addition to a healthy diet and proper dental cleaning, to rely on the care and examination of a dentist.

With this in mind, the Oral Health project aims to guarantee a complete first dental visit to pregnant patients with ISEE equal to or less than 20,000 euros.

For Patients, the service offers a dental visit, consisting of a check-up and dental hygiene procedure. This visit can be requested at one of the dentists in the area who will participate in the initiative through the use of this portal. At the end of the visit, the patient will receive a report from their treating doctor, detailed in presenting to other professionals the state of their oral health.

For Dentists, the service offers the opportunity to actively participate in this health and solidarity project in the area, offering a tangible service to a vulnerable segment of the population. Following registration, the Dentist will be able to manage their time availability and appointments directly from the platform and, if desired, request reimbursement for their activity.

The project is sponsored by INMP - National Institute for the promotion of health of Migrant populations and for the fight against Poverty diseases with the collaboration of ANDI ETS Foundation and COI - International Dental Cooperation.
